Michael Kunicki is a Chicago-based actor specializing in dramatic, character-driven, and left-of-center absurdist roles. He recently starred as the lead, Mike Alvarado, in the indie feature $POSITIONS. Following a premiere at SXSW and a 2026 theatrical run, the film was named one of Esquire’s "Top 17 Films of 2026."
Michael followed that up with a standout turn in the Joe Swanberg-produced horror feature Yellow Eyes. His gripping work earned him a direct shoutout from The New York Times, which noted he "wore [them] out with his intensely physical performance."
In addition to his indie feature work, Michael has appeared on the small screen as a Co-Star on NBC’s Chicago P.D. His commercial print portfolio includes national campaigns for major brands such as Bank of America and Allstate.
